3D Project

We run a 3D project for people who are newly diagnosed. 3D stands for; Diabetes, Diagnosis and Discussion.

We bring together people who have been diagnosed to talk about the effects of the diagnosis on their lives. This course offers emotional support and information for people who have been newly diagnosed and who may be worrying about what effects this condition will have on their lives.

The course is run be people who have had diabetes for a number of years and who can share their own experiences with the newly diagnosed.

The course is based for those who have been diagnosed in the past 18months, and will cover topics like; what is diabetes? and what care to expect. But anyone is welcome, even those that have been diagnosed for years!

Group discussions cover topics like; how has diabetes affected your life? What do you feel about having diabetes?

It is all very informal and we are a very friendly group who are willing to help you in what ever way we can.
